We cover the world with 23+ Ku-band satellite beams. VSAT Ku-band frequencies are intended only for satellite communications. This technology is characterized by high-power signals compared to C-band. This has the advantage that smaller antennas on the customer site can be used. Onthe rother side C-band is less sensitive to rain compared to Ku-band. Castor Networks has standardized its Ku-band offering for Fixed sites on 1.2m antennas.

When to use VSAT Ku-band

Limited space for a satellite installation? In that case we advise you to choose KU-band satellite internet. For this type a smaller antenna is sufficient. Also, this technology is easy to install. VSAT Ku-band equipment is more cost effective than C-band equipment, which also makes it more suitable for satellite applications with a small bandwidth.

VSAT Ku-band is often used in the mining and oil & gas industry, but also a lot of NGO' s in Africa are using this type of satellite internet.
